Bridal Bouquet

Bridal bouquets have come along way since their origin of garlic and herbs were meant to ward off evil spirits. I for one, am thankful this tradition has evolved to become the beautiful tradition of floral bouquets. As you begin to plan for your bouquet, remember to consider your gown. With an elaborate and detailed gown keep your bouquet very simple to not overshadow the gown. With a simple gown design, you can use more detailed flowers and design for your bouquet. The following are some beautiful suggestions and explanations of what you see.

This simple bouquet is made up of large white calla lilies surrounded by ivory roses. Wear this bouquet with a soft colored dress. If you are wearing a white dress, wrap the bouquet with dark greens to keep it from clashing with the fabric of your dress.

Traditional red roses are always a winner. Just to add a little bit of color, insert some ivory roses into the bouquet. Definitely wear this bouquet with a white gown.

This beautifully simply bouquet adds some color and variety with purple calla lilies surrounded by ivory roses and white cymbidium orchids at the bottom. An ivory colored gown will pair well with this bouquet.

Still wondering what you’re going to do with that “something blue?” Tie a few stems of Gerbera Daisies together with blue ribbon. You can choose from an array of colors; lilac, salmon, white, orange, purple, cream, or yellow.

Saving the best for last. This bouquet also gives you that something blue, but incorporates coordinating colors of blue antique hydrangeas, white cymbidium orchids, purple irises, and white freesias. The color combination and flower types match perfectly with each other. Wear this bouquet with a white or soft purple gown.
